What is CTE?

Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides all students with a seamless education system from public education to postsecondary education, driven by a Plan for College and Career Readiness/SOEP. Through competency-based instruction and hands-on experiences, students obtain occupational skills culminating in further education and meaningful employment. CTE prepares students for careers that are most in demand and that are part of the economic development of the state.

What are CTE Pathways?

A CTE pathway is a sequence of two or more CTE courses within a student’s area of career interest. Pathways are designed to connect high school classes to college, industry certifications, and/or a career. Pathways include concurrent enrollment courses and credits earned can be transferred to a college or university.

Where can I find more information?
